As one of the NBA’s fashion icons do you feel pressure to keep up game by game?
I wouldn’t call it pressure but I definitely feel an obligation to put my best foot forward. I have been at this for a while so no point in taking any steps back, ya know?
Do you have a personal stylist? If so, how do you collaborate on pre-game looks?
Yes, Brandon Williams is my stylist and brand manager. We work a month in advance on all my game looks.
How has your style evolved over your career?
It’s completely grown into something I couldn’t have pictured early on in my career. It’s such an important part of what we do now.
Do you check the comments on style profiles that post your pre-game looks?
No, not really, sometimes if I’m bored but mostly they have been positive comments. I try not to worry what others thin.
Who would you consider your league style icon from years past?
I like a lot of what guys do but I don’t really look to the left or the right with my style I stay evolving with my lane.
If you could create a line of clothing, what direction would you want it to flow into?
It would be comfortable and sporty and maintain a classic feel.
What are some fashion tips you would provide to rookies coming into the league?
Don’t be afraid to trust someone to help you with your look. There are different levels and expertise in different areas of professional life, so I am glad I have had the help I have on my side to build and get to places in style I wouldn’t have if not.
