What’s your impression of the New York fashion scene so far?
New York’s fashion scene is one of the best. What I like about it, is that you get a bit of everything. Everybody has their own flavor.
If you could design one piece of clothing, what would it be and why?
If I could design any piece of clothing, it would definitely be shoes. I feel shoes can speak to you about a person in a lot of cases.
How’s the transition been from rookie to veteran life in the league?
The transition from a rookie to a vet has been very interesting. From being the youngster to the “OG”. From asking the question to answering the questions. From asking for advice to giving it. It’s been a transition that I’ve fully embraced and also a transition that has helped me learn a lot about myself has a player but more importantly a person.
Have you noticed a change in the way teammates and players around the league pay attention to pre-game fits?
It’s been a huge shift in ways guys approach their looks. I think guys are really looking at themselves as a brand, as they should. They’re really conscious of how they look knowing that the cameras are rolling. Setting them up for opportunities outside the game.
Whose style do you most admire across the league?
There are a number of guys that give off different vibes that I respect.
How do you go about deciding what to wear on game day?
On game day it’s really not a hard process for me. We have to dress up for away games so it’s my best suit for whatever city we’re headed to. For home games, it’s all about looking good and feeling good.
